Thank you Colorado Perinatal Mental Health Project for having me as your speaker in today’s PMH Lunchtime Series on an introduction into perinatal art therapy for holiday wellness.

Still glowing from Friday's incredible arts-based wellness retreat with mobile health workers via the NYC Health + Hospitals partnership with the Whitney Museum of American Art called HHArt of Medicine.

This chilly Spring morning was spent exploring our inner and outer worlds inspired by Women's History Month and the bold mixed media art of Emma Amos.

Any opportunity that allows us to get playful, silly, curious, embodied, experimental, and/or fully present are equally as valuable as creatively producing, viewing, or engaging with Fine Arts in some capacity. Why?

Francie Lyshak remains one of my most cherished mentors and role models as a published author and illustrator, brilliant art therapist, and prolific professional artist.

Had a fabulous time co-presenting at today's BrainMind Summit NYC as part of the Arts Passport experience hosted at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Spent this wintery morning with some incredible staff of the Whitney Museum of American Art as we explored our own micro/macro worlds through a mindful engagement with printmaking.

It’s not easy to practice what we preach. As a working mama of 2 supporting other caregivers for a living, it’s hard to find the time/energy/motivation/space/art supplies/etc etc etc to engage in any kind of regular art-making practice like I used to.
